"Is a life really yours if you can't live without someone else?"
"Sounds like a lonely way to live, if you ask me."
"I definitely wasn't asking you."
The morning air was stale in this patch of the forest. If a patrol had been by here, it had to have been a few days, which meant it was probably due for some cats to come by... But perhaps they had forgotten this ground, which meant that it would be free for hunting in. A rusty she-cat stalked through the underbrush, staying low if only to avoid catching attention, her brilliant verdant gaze flickering around her surroundings like the leaves in the breeze.
It had been a while since she had seen her brother, but that was fine. Perhaps he was too much of a coward to tread in clan territory. The feline had no qualms about breaking the rules of cats she didn't respect. They had no idea how hard it was living a life like hers, and she was sure she was too smart for them anyway. A growl in her gut, she pressed onward until the scent of a thrush caught her attention. Not big enough to fill her for more than a day or two, but it had been easily that long already since she had last ate; she wasn't about to be picky.
The agile cat stepped with absolute silence through the brush, her ears twitching at a noise in the distance. Perhaps a mouse, or a something. She ignored it, the very tip of her tail twitching just slightly as she got into position. She let a breath stir her whiskers, her haunches tensing, and then she broke out from her hiding place, lunging a good foot in the air. The bird tried to dart out of her way but her paw lashed out, grabbing it with a claw and sending it to the ground with her weight, her teeth snapping to its neck in the next instant.
An easy kill. Her tail swished around to her flank as she glanced around, a thief in open ground. Another noises, small and feint, and she resisted the urge to hiss and instead shot for a tree with her prey, launching herself up the bark and on to a low hanging branch, her bushy tail swishing behind her like a fox's tail.

MAYBE I SHOULD CRY FOR HELP
MAYBE I SHOULD KILL MYSELF
